When you choose contacts instead of glasses, your $140 allowance applies to the cost of your lenses and the fitting and evaluation exam. This exam is addition to your vision exam to ensure proper fit of contacts. |

VSP guarantees service from VSP network doctors only. The terms of the contract will prevail any dispute.
VSP Access Discount Plan
As an employee of El Paso I.S.D., you are eligible for the VSP Access Plan.
The VSP Access Plan provides discounts on eyewear and associated professional services.
- Participants must use a VSP network doctor to obtain benefits.
- Eye exam: 20% discount on VSP network doctors fees
- Eyeglasses: 20% off complete pairs of prescription glasses and lens options*
- Contact lenses: 15% off VSP network doctors contact lens exam fees*
- Laser vision correction: discounts averaging 15% off contracted laser centers prices for laser vision correction surgery or an additional 5% off the centers promotional price.
These benefits do not require that you be enrolled in the Vision Service Plan (VSP), only that you be eligible for benefits as an employee of the EPISD. All dependents of eligible employees are covered.
Your eligibility will be confirmed at the time that you make your appointment or upon requesting services.
